— Mainstreaming African Voices

Bringing communities together with African stories and worldview.

The Nsibidi Project promotes African arts, culture and heritage across the UK through classes, exhibitions, workshops, events and community engagement programmes.

Who we are.

The Nsibidi Project promotes African arts, culture and heritage through classes, exhibitions, workshops, events and community engagement programmes. We empower individuals and communities of African origin to learn more about their heritage, and gain a deeper understanding of the African worldview.

By sharing African arts and culture, we contribute to the diversity of the broader British community — fostering understanding and strengthening community bonds.

Five ways we bring African heritage to life.

01

Classes

Structured learning in African languages, history, dance and craft for adults and young people.

02

Exhibitions

Curated showcases of African and diaspora artists, makers and storytellers.

03

Workshops

Hands-on practical sessions where heritage is something you make, not only something you watch.

04

Events

Public-facing performances, panels and celebrations that platform African voices.

05

Community engagement

Year-round programmes that meet people where they already are — schools, faith spaces and town halls.

"By sharing African arts and culture, we contribute to the diversity of the broader British community."
